On August 25, 2022, a scheduled evictions notice at Lind Commons Apartments in Tucson, AZ horrifically ended in the loss of 4 lives. Mayor Romero, City Council and the City of Tucson have a long history of refusing to acknowledge the root causes that contribute to violence and so-called “crime” in Tucson. Instead of acknowledging and addressing the current and increasing real crises in our city, they invent a new one, one they like to call “gun violence”.

On Saturday, November 4, 2021, protest was called by a coalition of individuals and groups in Tucson who are concerned about the effect that law enforcement and their violence have on our communities. about 150 people who came with their own goals and intentions, drawn together by the common cause of holding the Tucson Police Department (TPD) and the Pima County Sheriffs to account for their actions.
